Patterns & Pinterest posts that spark inspiration
The power of personalization. Every few years I remember that you can Paint on Demin. I mean technically you can paint anything (results may vary). If you're looking for an inexpensive way to customize your wardrobe painting is a great start. The possibilities are endless: small or large designs, intricate or simple, whatever fits your style.
PSSST… if you already have some acrylic paint lying around, you can mix it with an equal amount of fabric softener to turn it into fabric paint.
Simple but effective crafting tools and tricks to work smarter not harder.
Raise your hand if you have a yarn stash. Now how many of you actually know the specific information of each skein in your stash? If not, that’s totally okay but it can catch up with you over time. One thing that really helps me is keeping what I call a “database” of my yarn. This post I saw outlines how to keep a Physical journal of the yarn you have/use. It doesn't really matter if you opt for physical or digital. The point is that when you are starting a new project, instead of instantly running to the craft store for new yarn you can check your stash stress free. Plus, when you’re actively using what you already own, you’re much less likely to let your stash get out of hand.
Tip: Keep a record of all the yarn that you buy and use.
My own personal "Best of" for projects of the past, present, and future.
Earlier in the year I was looking to design a cozy cold-weather accessory. Initially, I struggled with inspiration. That is until I came across a "Scoodie" (AKA Scarf + Hoodie). Instantly it was like the fog of indecision was lifted. This coupled with my "granny square phase" is how the SquareOne Scoodie was born. This particular Scoodie was inspired by the "evil eye" and is a great testament of its versatility via color picks.
