This design is MTM (Made-to-Measure) meaning instead of universal or set sizing you can adjust the size to be as big or small as you would like
The squares used in the “Apron Top” section are solid granny squares
Each square will measure around 5 inches both ways but depending on your preferred size you can alter the size of the square by adding or subtracting the number of rounds you crochet
For seaming you can use whatever method you feel comfortable with. For instance I used single crochet when seaming the Apron Top and Apron Bottom Together
Apron Top :
Solid Granny Square:
With your preferred color Create a MR
R1: Working inside the ring Ch 3, dc 2, ch 2, [dc 3, ch2] x 2, dc 3, hdc to top of first ch 3
R2: Ch 3, in the same corner space dc 2, dc into each st before the next corner, [*in the corner space: {dc 2, ch 2, dc 2}, dc in each st along the side before the next corner*] x 3, dc 2 in the last corner, hdc to top of the beginning ch 3
R3 - R5: Repeat R2, fasten off yarn
(Make enough squares to fit the width and height of your bust)
Working on the wrong side, seam all of the squares together into a rectangle.
Create a Foundation Chain with the same number of stitches as the width of granny squares for the “Apron Top”. Add enough stitches to give you an equal amount of ease on both sides
Row 1: Turn,Ch 2, dc in the 1st st and across.
Repeat Row 2 until the bottom reaches your desired length.
With the “Apron Bottom” mark the start of the added stitches on the left and right side (the number of stitches between each stitch marker should be the same as the number of stitches of your “Apron Top” rectangle)
Line the wrong sides of the “Apron Top” and “Apron Bottom” up to each other (the stitch markers will guide you)
Seam the 2 pieces together.
Chain the number of stitches you want for the length of one of your ties.
Attach your yarn to the top corner of the apron bottom.
Ch 1, sc in the 1st st and across (when you reach the corners sc 3+sc 3)
After you crochet the last st, ch the same number of sts that you did in the beginning
Attach your yarn to the 3rd ch from the Top right corner of your Apron.
Row 1: Ch 1, sc 2 sts, Turn
Row 2: Ch 2, Dc 2 sts, Turn
Repeat Row 2 for your desired strap length. Then make 1 Dec for 2 rows before fastening off.
Congratulations, your Apron is finished!
