The written instructions for the Solid Granny Square are provided but I have also included the chart for visual purposes and those who prefer it
When you see brackets ([ ]) this indicates that the instructions within the brackets are meant to be completed the written amount of times
Each square will measure around 5 inches both ways but depending on your preferred size you can alter the size of the square by adding or subtracting the number of rows you crochet
For seaming I used a basic mattress stitch so that the seams would not show but you can use whatever method is best for you and your needs
With your preferred color Create a MR
R1: Working inside the ring Ch 3, dc 2, ch 2, [dc 3, ch2] x 2, dc 3, hdc to top of first ch 3
R2: Ch 3, in the same corner space dc 2, dc into each st before the next corner, [*in the corner space: {dc 2, ch 2, dc 2}, dc in each st along the side before the next corner*] x 3, dc 2 in the last corner, hdc to top of the beginning ch 3
R3 - R5: Repeat R2, fasten off yarn
(Make 32 in Color A and 32 in Color B)
Weave in any remaining ends after fastening off
Working on the wrong side, seam together the squares in an 8 x 8 square configuration, alternating colors.
