Charts, Charts, Charts
If you’ve been keeping up with recent updates, you’ve probably noticed my ongoing Zodiac Sign Chart releases on Pinterest. The collection has continued to grow and now includes several signs, with Aquarius being the latest addition.
Each sign comes with two chart options: one designed to be simple and approachable for beginners, and another that leans more artistic, drawing inspiration from the symbolism of the sign itself.
Card Making
Over on my YouTube, I share craft-focused content. This month, I decided to dive into paper crafts. When was the last time you tried one? If it’s been a while and you’re curious about what you might be missing, this video is worth a watch, even if you’re just looking to explore a new creative medium.
In the video, I focus on card making, a craft that’s just as enjoyable for adults as it is accessible. I walk you through how to make your own greeting cards and set you up for success with plenty of tips and resources along the way.
Patterns & Pinterest posts that spark inspiration
I completely forgot about this Lay-Flat Makeup Bag pattern. This one is great because it's functional and easy to make. Due to some of the crochet techniques used it may be a step up from a typical beginner pattern. Never fear though because the designer includes plenty of photos and clear instructions. So for all those times you've gotten ready only to be forced to leave a pile of scattered products to make it in time, this is for you.
Simple but effective crafting tools and tricks to work smarter not harder.
It wasn't until late last year that I learned about Linked Stitches. And I would place this pretty high on my list of things I "wish I knew from the beginning." You know when you go to make half-double or double crochet and have to deal with the gaps/holes? Linked stitches fix that issue. This is because when you complete a linked stitch, you are joining the body of the previous stitch with the body of the new stitch. What results is a gapless stitch suitable for garments to reduce transparency.
My own personal "Best of" for projects of the past, present, and future.
Who doesn't love a good Cup Koozie for protecting your cups, hands and surfaces. Even though I loved the design and they work great, my yarn choice really ruined them for me. I used the Peaches & Creme Cotton yarn and its safe to say I am not a fan. When I inevitably remake these I'll definitely switch it up. Funnily enough I attribute these to my crochet "stripes" phase. Because shortly after making these I was slapping stripes on everything. Ah, good times. 😂
