That's right, we've got stickers now. Although when I started there was an emphasis on crochet I always envisioned Rosemani Creations Co. to be much more than that. Now, with creating these stickers I have been able to reintroduce myself to the technique that kickstarted my love of art...drawing. This first pack, 'Summer Vibes' is of course summer themed with a draw on fun, positivity, and memories. If you want to nab a pack of these head over to my Etsy shop.
I previously spoke about wanting to give you concepts. Simple and concise guides for creating some of my projects. Well the first of many is here. Due to the summer season I set out to recreate my own 'Simply Crochet Shorts' pattern but with a color palette inspired by yours truly. These shorts are 100% fully customizable in order to be made with ANY BODY in mind. Additionally, you can use whatever colors you like to fit your unique look. There is a short and to the point version available for FREE here in the 'Concepts' section. For those looking for more guidance, I also have a version with pictures and tips that take you from the first stitch to your finishing touches. This can also be found on my Etsy.
More sticker theme packs may be coming soon🫢. Thinking the shorts would go well with other things? Might have to add some matching pieces and make it a set 🤔☝️💡.
Don't you love when you're crafting with yarn that is that perfect sweet spot of soft and dainty? Well this one isn't that at all...it's better. I know that sounds crazy but it's true. Yarn Bee's Sugarwheel Yarn is still soft but is also scratchy, robust, and stretchy. And even so, the perfect ratio of these elements combine to amaze and impress you.
In addition to this these skeins are also...
Available in vibrant color palettes
No Color Changes Required
Have plush texture that creates a cozy but breathable fabric
Happy Heartsy does it again! I stumbled across this Baseball Hat Organizer pattern during my search for 'crochet home decor' and admired it for its casual but quirky look. Admittedly I was intimidated by the format and stitch pattern. However, it was actually quite simple and a quick work up. That even sparked my appreciation for stitch texture. Also, for fans of change this is customizable with a sunglasses compatible alternate.
In my experience I have found that not only does blocking make a difference but so does your choice in blocking medium. I craft with a lot of acrylic and cotton yarns so naturally steam blocking is a go-to. Horizontal steam blocking reins supreme for things like granny squares and Vertical steaming is most advantageous for garments. The cheaper end for steamers/irons is fine for horizontal steaming but just one rung up will give you a versatile tool equipped to do both. Other qualities of this one in particular include:
large capacity reservoir
beginner-friendly
Sleek LCD screen for digital control
Tool: Hamilton Beach 3-in-1 Garment Steamer/Iron
While, sorting some old embroidery thread I realized I had so much excess and didn't want it to go to waste. Naturally I recognized the threaded nature of both the thread and some thinner yarns. That combined with the variety of colors steered me toward something that would allow me to enrich both of these qualities. And thus, a Crochet Rug is what emerged. It's pretty small for a rug so I ended up hanging it on my wall instead.
